public abstract class GenericEvent
extends TransferableObject

This event is basically serializable and thus can be transfered through the network. It provides a generic way how to find out which listener method it requires. Therefore multiple subclasses of it can be supported by a single GenericListenerList.

Note that there is the limitation that the Listener interface can define only one single listener method.
